This watch was purchased earlier this year from a private collector  in Germany. No previous history known.

The watch is in excellent original condition and it is working very well.

The watch winds and sets time correctly and the chronograph mechanism is operating and re-setting correctly.

The chrome plated brass case and pusher caps have some minor wear to the plating consistent with the age and service usage of the watch.

All hands are original. The white painted hour and minute hands retain their original lume.

The black gloss finish dial is in good condition and the dial numbers have their original lume which has faded and discoloured with age.

The original brass spring bars are still fitted.

I removed the movement from the case for inspection and I took the opportunity to carry out a lubrication service while the movement was out of the case.

The movement is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition.

I have lubricated the rotating bezel.

The watch is fitted with a very nice condition original BUND leather strap which is marked with the NATO Stock Number 6645-12-145-6415.

The Junghans 88/0110 is the first model of the BUND Junghans J88 series of watches to be issued and it is an extremely rare watch to find for sale – especially in such excellent and original condition.
